RILLA DAY JAM VIDEO IS NOW LIVE – WATCH BELOW
The sun was shining, the weather was sweet, yeah! The weather couldn’t have been better in the south of England to kick off the RILLA Scooters Day Jam.
The first park on the list was non other than The Front Skatepark in Weymouth. A brilliant community run skatepark by volunteers and incredible ramp workmanship. The perfect park to start what turned out to be a truly awesome day.
The RILLA Team riders Alex Stanzel, Blake Nash, Ollie Bennet, Jayden Straker, Jack Hicks and Reggie Richards, riding the RILLA COMMIT Complete, started to warm up for the first hour before putting on a short but sweet first demo over the huge box The Front have created.
Soon after, the RILLA Comp was started firstly with a competition of best trick over the box followed by best trick out of the fly-out. Every rider participated and it turned out to be a very close win with every rider throwing out bangers. Prizes included a RILLA Triple Clamp, RILLA Grips and RILLA 110mm Wheels and the winners were Adam Jones and Kieran Fox, congrats! Soon after came the sticker throw out in the halfpipe which went down a treat.
At 2pm, we said our goodbyes and thank you’s and headed for the next stop of the RILLA Day Jam, Bourne Valley.
Bourne Valley is an outdoor concrete park with a variety of boxes, a bowl and street section with some sweet ledges and rails, so a great mix of every style.
We set up shop right next to the park for the best view and everyone rode for an hour before kicking off the biggest comp of the day.
Alex and Ollie got on the megaphone as everyone cleared the park ready for the first best trick on the box competition.
Almost every rider at Bourne Valley joined in, in throwing down their best tricks to win the RILLA parts. After a tough decision, riders Ziggy and Barry were chosen to be the winners!
Next was the street competition where riders could use either the ledge or rail for their best trick. Again, very close competition! With Eddie Hobs taking first and Connor Barnsley with the second.
Thank you so much for all the support on the day, Bourne Valley was by far the busiest stop and everyone participated in the comp.
@5pm we quickly packed up and headed to the next stop after stopping for food. Prevail Skatehouse, a massive indoor park located in Poole was the next park and a local for the majority of the RILLA team.
Winners of the street comp were Kallen Payne and Charlie Lawler.
Resi box was Luke Potter and Charlie Lawler again with some bangers!
Sticker throwing was this time in the bowl with the riders going nuts over the latest RILLA Stickers.
What an awesome day, thank you everyone who attended and made it awesome. Thanks to all the RILLA team riders who came down @thestanzel @jackhicks15 @ollerss @blake_nash @jaydenstrakerr @reggie_richards14 – Also Lisa and Dean from @thefrontskatepark – Tony and crew @prevailskatehouse – @elitecinematics for filming and /@alyssarush for supporting all day.
